Isn't that Ignatieff's problem - too much Toronto all the time? I really like this appointment on so many levels. Gary Doer is capable and will be a fine representative of Canada to the USA. He will bring Western Canadian pragmatism to the forefront. Then there is the political consideration - its delicious - stymies Jack and his anti US ravings and Ignatieff is flummoxed because its thinking outside the box, something he has never done. Cheers. Who says political talent and saavy can only be found in downtown Toronto? Isn't that Ignatieff's problem – too much Toronto all the time? I really like this appointment on so many levels.
