Mike I agree with you, re: Martin and the kangaroo courts. It is not just Nicholson who has his head up his arse about these, so does Harper. The main reason I did not vote this time. I don't vote lefty no matter if it is dressed in blue.

I agree with commenter Mike, above. Martin is a very principled and energetic MP, and I completely concur with Mike also on the matter of HRCs.

Meanwhile, I never understand why some people get upset when someone else's MP changes parties. MacKay, Brison, Stronach, and Keith Martin all changed parties at various times--and were reelected by their constituents handily in the succeeding election in each case.

Are you trying to bait me into saying something nasty? Sure, why not.

I'd love to make a big long list, with numerous well-placed expletives and colourful adjectives, but heck ... where would I begin?

And I don't have a whole lot of time at the moment.

I'll put that aside as a project for another day.

Well, I guess I haven't been playing partisan games long enough.

His stand on the HRCs makes up for all... while our Minister of Justice Nicholson has his head up his arse, and nearly all of the CPC clams up and pretends there isn't a problem.

I must admit, when I think Keith Martin "principled" is not the first word that comes to the top of my mind.

And when I think "Troy DeSouza", I don't think "backbencher".

I must confess to mixed feelings. Another CPC seat will have no impact on the Ottawa situation. But Keith Martin is a principled man, and was the first to speak out publicly about the HRC disgrace. I wonder if he would have more benefit for Canada in Ottawa than another CPC backbencher.

Sorry.
