Fox News Confirms Palin

If Fox News is right, then so am I.

Too bad Pfotenhauer gave it away a week ago!

I’ll be collecting all my bet money later today. Thanks for the great odds (you know who you are).

Biden, Palin – 2 FOR 2

August 29, 2008 · Posted in News, Personalities · Comments

A week and a half a go I said “Joe Biden“. Why? Older, Presidential-looking, liberal, foreign policy credentials. And, uh, white male.

For McCain, I was on the Romney train before that, but then I watched the Fox News show, Geraldo at Large.

Nancy PfotenhauerMcCain Senior Policy Advisor Nancy Pfotenhauer said, and I paraphrase — Not only is not vetting Hilary Clinton a slap in the face to her and her supporters, BUT it is a SLAP IN THE FACE TO ALL WOMEN.

Geraldo missed it. So did everyone else on the panel (she said it right before the commercial break).

I DID NOT MISS IT.

I said: McCain is going to pick a woman. Then I started thinking about which one. I figured, Pro-Life, younger (in a reasonable age range to be President), credible (Sarah Palin has amazing credentials as a corruption fighter, RUNNING AGAINST HER OWN PARTY – SOUND FAMILIAR?). Then there’s the whole credibility vis-a-vis oil drilling. So I said “Sarah Palin”.

All my political friends said I was nuts.

We are on the verge of finding out if Paul has finally gotten good at calling these things. Stay tuned.

Move over Canada – I’m cheering for Kazakhstan now!

Canada – 0
Kazakhstan – 4

It’s all over Canada. Borat and his pals are kicking our asses in Beijing. Even his arch-rivals Uzbekistan managed to pick up a bronze. In fact, there are 4 countries that end with “stan” that have medals.

This is really embarrassing.

Anyway, go Kazakhstan!

UPDATE: The author has changed his mind in light of Canada’s record medal count.  Talk about jumping the gun!
