Fire Lawand

August 15, 2006 · Posted in Conservatism.ca

Stephen Taylor has exposed the rot at the CBC. He has uncovered brand new depths of bias, completely unacceptable in a modern democracy like Canada. Good for your, Stephen! And, once again, shame on the CBC!

The Canadian Airborne Regiment was disbanded because of a perceived systemic problem, highlighted by a depraved act in Somalia. Why shouldn’t the CBC suffer the same fate? This is only the latest act in the CBC saga.

At the very least the CBC should discipline and/or fire the reporter that filed this report.

So, what will happen at the CBC regarding this?

I hope to find out.

Here is my “Contact Us” question to the CBC:

Subject: Christina Lawand and Biased Reporting – the CBC Response

Comments:
What disciplinary or other action will the CBC be taking, if any, in response to the blatantly biased reporting of Christina Lawand in covering the Cornwall Conservative Caucus Retreat and the corresponding protest?

I’m going to guess nothing. We’ll see.

CBC has already responded to several bloggers. I don’t think they are going to do anything.

Sad really how they circle the wagons when the masses show up with slings and arrows.

I read Stephen Taylor excellent exposure of how Christina Lawand “torqued” her pressentation on the Caucus meeting. While I remember with fondness the many hours of enjoyment CBC brought me -and am thus inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt – this shameful act needs decisive disciplinary action by CBC leadership if they want to keep even a semblance of credibility. Failure on the part of CBC leadership to take corrective action against this unethical journalist will condemn the whole CBC.

If enough (read: thousands)squeaky wheels complain to the CBC about it, they may finally investigate the matter

CBC responses are already back….they are defense and justification for the report.

Maybe we could go to their bosses and ask them to do something, eh,
