The parodies were all made by individuals, most of them BT bloggers. These were not plants by the party. Most of the people making the parodies had already been publishing other types of videos, and this presented the perfect opportunity to use their new found skills.

I think its a good idea; this is really what happened in the last election where the parodies of the Liberal ads spread over the net.

The question is, where these parodies spontaneous or were they planted?

Its possible that some of these parodies could have been made by the party.

What's clear is that some of those parodies were made by bloggers who were friendly to the CPC.

With Youtube and email these things could spread around real fast.

I wouldn't use them before the attack ads though, they should be part of a rapid response though.

I like it, but try to work kittens into it some how, people love kittens, but not liberal kittens, got to be conservative kittens.

Risky strategy there. People may recall that a FUNDAMENTAL plank of the last Liberal campaign was to promote a space weapons ban. OTOH, they had 341 FUNDAMENTAL platform planks written on the back of various envelopes, so maybe no one will remember at all ….
